This weekend…

Ferris Buellers Day Off… The Remix.
Myself and two friends are heading to Chicago for a day.
I’m looking forward to the whole thing but I’m definitely excited to see Wrigley Field!

I’m back to writing more… Sorry!

I’ve been lackadaisical the last two weeks… Sorta hit a wall that took me off my game!
The beautiful weather has given me a bit of a bounce.

a bat…

oddly, bats flying around at night aren’t necessarily scary (though it was)…

it felt more surreal to see a bat flying around in the semi-dark.

all i could think of was the discovery channel about them in a cave & how other animals found them in the dark to kill ‘em.

my family’s doggie…

is 15 years old and getting very frail and old and sick.

it has been very sad and hard to watch him the last couple days… sad. :(

movie review: Raging Bull

it’s a classic that i’ve never seen… De Niro was very good but maybe b/c it is an older flick i did not understand the odd scene set up for dialogue.

that being said i think scorese and de niro really nailed the psychotic-ism of Jake La Motta.

also, who hasn’t seen the Old Spice commercial these days? or funny takes on it? or spoofs of it?

but i swear that they got it from the following line in Raging Bull:

That reminds me of two friends of mines. One was married, one was single. The married guy tells the single guy: ‘Oh, what’s the matter with you? What’s the matter with you? Look at me. And look at you. And look at me. And look at you. (Laughter) Let me get on with it. When I come home at night, my wife’s at the door with a tall drink in her hand. And she gives me a nice hot bath. Then she gives me a nice rub-down. Then she makes passionate love to me. Then she makes me a nice dinner. What more could you ask for? You oughta try that.’ The other friend says: ‘Hey, that sounds great. When does your wife get home?’

movie review: Waltz with Bashir

what a strangely animated movie and it was quite captivating…

i would recommend it to anyone who likes movies… the end of the movie to me was a bit strange as an ending but i won’t give it away.

dog and house sitting…

having never taken care of my family dog before - just his adversarial and friendly play buddy. i’m quite intimidated by taking care of him.

two days and i’m worried about everything! i mean he’s 15 and man he has aged but gracefully & healthily for the most part!

i am saddened to see him be this fragile… makes me happy to think of the old fighting w/ toys days.
